Playstation Plus Free Games

Playstation Plus is a monthly subscription service that has “Playstation Plus Free Games” to play. Just like Xbox Game Pass service, Playstation Plus has a huge variety of games to play. Again, just like I said in my previous post of Diablo 4 is now on Xbox Game Pass, Playstation Plus is a like a Netflix service, where you can play, stream or download games from their collection just by paying a monthly subscription fee.

Playstation Plus: Free Games For April

Free games are coming to Playstation Plus, as announced by Sony. Sony has announced their free games on their recent blog, which was announced on March 27, 2024. You can read their by clicking here.

The free games coming to the PlayStation Plus for April are the First-Person Spell Shooter game “Immortals of Aveum”, the Real-time action-strategy video game “Minecraft Legends” and rogue like action platformer developed by SouthPAW Games, “Skul: The Hero Slayer”.

All of these games can be played at no additional cost. Playstation Plus subscribers can add the game to their library and play them as long as their subscription lasts. Note that after May 6th, these games will not be available for the subscribers. So, get it for free till it lasts.

Sony had also confirmed the games coming to the PS Plus Game Catalog earlier this month: NBA 2K24, Marvel’s Midnight Suns, and Resident Evil 3. Playstation Plus free games of the month of March were EA Sports F1 23, Sifu, and Destiny 2: The Witch Queen will expire on April 1st. SO GRAB THEM BEFORE THEY LEAVE THE SERVICE.

Playstation Plus Free Games List for April :

Immortals of Aveum

Immortals of Aveum is a completely new game. It’s a new game in the sense, that it’s an action-adventure game from Ascendant Studio. These developers are publishing their games under the EA Originals label. This game looks like a big, bombastic AAA game but without a bloated open world.

Despite its generic name, it may not look too cool at first glance, but you will be surprised. It’s a great game and I had a great time with this one. It’s a regular adventure game that you play through from start to finish. It’s a new game with new lore, new characters, and some fun action. If you like single-player action games, this is the game you must not miss.

This game has no gun but the spell combat works almost the same way. This game has some awesome side quests and epic boss battles. This is a game I’d recommend people to buy at some point but cherry on the top, it’s available for Playstation Plus.

Minecraft Legends

So, I played this with low expectations and confusion. With the disappointment of Minecraft: Dungeons, which felt like playing a Minecraft game with the feel of Diablo but on a mobile phone, I played this with the expectation of the other Minecraft Spinoff games.

Minecraft Legends was developed by Mojang Studios and Blackbird Interactive and published by Xbox Game Studios. Playing Minecraft Legends, I understood that Minecraft Legends is a proper strategy game. Minecraft Legends is a third-person real-life strategy game with some 3D platforming that has a 20-hour campaign. You can play co-op or solo and it has a fully-featured PvP mode. If you like to raid bases and explore treasures; it’s a game made for you. This game is currently available on both Playstation 4 and Playstation 5.

Skul: The Hero Slayer

Skul: The Hero Slayer is a pixelated art game of 2021, developed by SouthPAW Games and published by Neowiz. Skul, a skeleton soldier, is the last one in the Demon King’s army. After humans wiped out most of existence and kidnapped the Demon King, only Skul was left for him to rescue.

Apart from playing from the perspective of the traditional bad guys, Skul’s story is pretty familiar. The humans attacked the Demon King seemingly unprovoked, and his forces were losing their force just to survive.

The game has a good story, art, and mechanics, but it’s ruined by randomization and grinding. I wish developers for games like this would just do Metroidvania instead. Skul looks like it would be a good time with a more linear progression. The thing I like most about Skul: The Hero Slayer is that the heroes you see him fighting all spout cliché phrases while they attack like a hyperactive anime characters.
